A new experience as an observer

On 31June-3 July 2025, I participated in an observation run in Las Campanas. Being a theoretical astrophysicist, I had never been in Chile observing. It was an incredible experience. 

🔭 The observatories are an example of state of the art technology and preparation of human capital in different areas, astronomy, engineering, data science.

🔭The study of the cosmos and our origins motivates the development of knowledge and technology.

🔭All this is possible thanks to the superb weather conditions for observations.

🔭We need to protect the quality of the skies for ourselves and future generations.

🔭Protecting the quality of the skies also goes hand in hand with a commitment to the sustainability of our planet.
